What makes Senior HealthCompanion different
As we get older, we have more health and medical information to keep track of. Sheila and I wanted a good way to do it.
There are many ways. As we talked with other seniors, we heard all kinds of answers: a Word document, Google Keep, the Notes app, a piece of paper kept in a wallet. And we all need that information every time we see a new doctor or visit a medical facility.
One day I told Sheila I was going to create an app to keep all your medical data and history in one place. She gave me the “okay, whatever” look, because it’s not something I would ever have thought about. But I had recently been learning about AI, and it seemed like I could do it. It wasn’t as easy as you might think, but we did it. I’ll write a separate post about everything it took to build it.
I also asked the doctors, nurses, and other medical professionals I was seeing, and they gave me great input and encouragement. I didn’t know at first that similar apps already existed. My next post covers how SeniorHealthCompanion is different.
So the bottom line: we built what we needed, and we use it.
